THE GEORGIA RUN-OFF

How we drove over 26,000 unlikely voters to the polls in 36 hrs.

When the Margins Matter, Digital Delivers

With just three days left in the Georgia Runoff and a chance for Democrats to become the majority in the US Senate, the New South Super PAC saw gaps in voter outreach, particularly people of color who were unlikely to vote. Tall Glass Media was invited to run a rapid fire digital campaign to persuade and mobilize the votes to show up at the polls.

Our research determined that voters under the age of 30, were not inspired by the candidates

and didn’t think their vote would make a difference. So instead of getting this audience to turnout for the candidates, we decided to focus on issues that were important to them and directly connect it voting.

So instead of getting this audience to turnout for the candidates, we decided to focus on issues that were important to them and directly connect it voting. Themes like social justice and showing the direct impact of making your voice heard.

We couldn’t just say that in a single image and expect people to turnout,

so we did educational pieces that explained the importance of voting both in carousel ads and videos.

We also designed a few static meme style graphics that were sticky, familiar and shareable.

Luckily, stimulus checks and social justice were top of mind and dominating the new cycle, and we could draw a direct connection to the urgency of voting if they were interested in making immediate progress.

The messages were simple: Interested in more stimulus checks? Vote. Interested in advancing social justice? Vote.
